The City of Gonzales has declared a State of Emergency due to the public health threat from the virus SARS-CoV-2 and the disease it causes, named Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19); and Governor John Bel Edwards has issued a series of Proclamations regarding the Public Health Emergency, include the most recent extension, the Mayor has extended the City of Gonzales’s Declaration through April 28, 2021.
